Habitat Honduras Global Village Policies |
|
- A minimum five day work commitment is required to participate in the Global Village program in Honduras.
- Habitat Honduras reserves the right to accept/reject work team requests at its discretion.
- Habitat Honduras is solely responsible for setting workday itineraries. Any suggestions/requests should be communicated, in a timely fashion, with the Global Village Coordinator and not outside service providers.
- In order to maximize resources, Habitat Honduras uses good, yet economical, service providers. Requests to use specific/special service providers may result in fees additional to the standard $35 charge.
- Official materials such as photographs, testimonials, letters, donation requests and postcards are only distributed by the Habitat Honduras National Office and associated affiliates. Any materials received from third party service providers with the Habitat trademark attached are to be considered unofficial and do not benefit Habitat Honduras in any way. Please help us to protect our integrity by informing the National Office of others using the Habitat trademark for personal profit.
- Habitat Honduras strongly encourages funds raised using the Habitat trademark to be donated to Habitat to be distributed appropriately.
- All donations (monetary or otherwise) must be given directly to the Global Village or Affiliate Coordinators to be later distributed, not to beneficiary families or construction site masons. This helps to prevent feelings of jealousy, expectancy and competition amongst Habitat employees and beneficiaries.
- Habitat employees are not able to accept monetary tips and will treat received money as a donation to Habitat Honduras or the local affiliate. |
