The Aguan Affiliate is one of the newest Habitat affiliates in Honduras. Having begun construction in 2006, they successfully constructed 40 homes in their first year of operation.

|  | General Information:
The Aguan River Valley was intentionally transformed from a jungle to an agro-industrial center about 30 years ago. The planned agricultural area prompted the mass immigration of thousands of campesinos, who then formed cooperatives. The main products of this region are cattle farming, bananas citrus fruits and Palm tree oils for export and local consumption. Situated just above sea level expect temperatures between 85-100 F. |
